About this machine
Two numbers tell you what the Templar X is about. First: six speeds — the only air-cooled 250 in our X-PRO lineup with a 6-speed gearbox, which means a proper low gear for technical crawling AND a relaxed top gear for fire-road cruising, no compromise between them.
Second: adjustable, at both ends. The 910mm inverted front forks and the rear shock are both tunable, so the bike can be set up for your weight and your terrain instead of a factory average. That's the single upgrade riders notice most — and it usually costs a class more.
The engine is Zongshen's PR250 (249.9cc, Honda-clone platform) making 18 N·m through a #520 chain, with electric start and a full lighting package for legal-where-permitted dusk running.
At $2,199.95 it's the most capable gas 250 we carry short of the Paladin. Ships free, assembled option available, warranty handled by us.
